What to Expect
First Baptist Hazlehurst is a caring congregation that welcomes everyone. We want you to discover the joy that we share when we come together to worship God in spirit and in truth. If you are planning to visit on a Sunday morning, here are some hints to help you find your way around and know what to expect.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday mornings, you will be greeted by a smiling face when you enter our building. These greeters will help you get anywhere on the campus! They will hand you a worship guide and help you find a Bible Study class that is appropriate to your age and life stage.
NURSERY CARE
We provide professional, loving, and Christ-centered care for your children that will help them to have a good time while learning about Jesus. Ask any greeter to direct you to the preschool wing. You will be able to relax and worship while we look after the kids for you!
WORSHIP SERVICE
Our morning worship service begins at 10:30 in the Sanctuary. Our members will be happy to help guide you there. Please take the opportunity before the service starts to silence all audible pagers, cell phones, and watch alarms. As you enter the sanctuary, ushers will help you find a seat if necessary. The service usually begins with some opening music when you can prepare your heart for worship. Near the beginning of the service, you will be welcomed by one of our ministers, but not singled out in any way. Please give us the opportunity to know you better by filling out a visitor's card. Please place the completed card in the offering plate.
AFTER WORSHIP
Our Pastor will be near the front of the Sanctuary after each service and would love to greet you personally. Please stop by and say hi! Our other ministers will also be in the Sanctuary following each worship service. We would love to get to know you and make you feel welcome!
